They didnt even look at mine. I had it out and everything. The guy made me write my name on a voters card and the woman went by what I wrote. It was weird to me.

I just looked it up and you do NOT need to show ID to vote, only if you are a first time voter. Here is what it says on the site I found this on. So if they didn't ask you for it then you most likely voted in the past
If you are a new voter who is registering by mail, you will be required to show identification when you go to vote for the first time. If you are already registered at the board of elections or a state agency, you should not have to show identification at the polls. It is advisable for all new voters to bring identification when voting for the first time. Acceptable IDs to to vote

I remember reading this somewhere but not sure where.
In NYC if you have voted before it is illegal to ask for ID. Only first time voters are asked for ID and they MUST be allowed to vote if they refuse to show it.

no they didn't check mine. They just had mesign next to my name. Weird cus at that point I could ahve skipped voting and had someone else go in my place (not that i would ever do that) but I think they should check id's...

Nope- I started to get it out of my purse & they were like no we dont need that. They had my signature on file & matched it up and by the way they looked totally different and both were mine
i didn't realize they matched them. LOL im still trying out different ways of signing my last name cus Im not used to it yet. LOL so i could have made it look totally different! Oh wel!

I voted in Queens and they checked my ID, and made me re-sign so that my signature can match my license. DH voted in Staten Island and they did not even ID him

they're not supposed to ID, i looked up a couple of sites and they say that you do NOT have to show ID, the only time you have to show ID is when you vote for the first time. Other than that theyre not supposed to ask for your ID, some might still do it but the rules are that you don't show ID

Hummm. this is coming from my same poll site where they messed up on the numbers and had to re-number everyone. We had to wait and extra 45 minutes bc of that.
