Walking Down the Aisle

Aww, I just got a picture of Dad and I walking down the aisle....

Does anyone remember what they were thinking when they walked down?

I was SO NERVOUS but once the doors opened all I could think of was DH, and as soon as I could see he was teary eyed I got super emotional, I can't even describe it, it was amazing, it felt really different than how I pictured

at first i kept thinking 'omg this is really happening' but as soon as i could see DH i just focused on him. I was even thinking 'Oooo i hope he loves my dress' and thinking how handsome he looked, then i saw him get emotional so i was just thinking about that. Oh and as soon as we got up to the altar, the first thing i said to dh was 'so do you like my dress'

Great picture!! We were married outside in FL and I remember thinking that my mouth was so dry from the heat and my nerves and I had no idea how I was going to recite my vows! lol. After a few minutes my saliva returned. hahahaha.

Me and my dad kept talking as we walked down the aisle. He was saying things to keep us both laughing and so there would be no tears!

I couldn't see DH at first (the asile is 100 feet and I can't see that far away ) but once I could I had to look away every few seconds so we wouldn't cry.

that's cute - if i didnt see DH that is probably what i would have said too i think i said the same thing to him when we first saw eachother - actually, i asked him if he liked my veil b/c it was the only thing i wore that day that he didnt know what it looked like already - b/c he knew my dress and he saw all of my jewelry hahahahaha

i was in shock at the amount of people that were there... i was looking at all the smiling faces thinking how everyone was there to celebrate the marriage of DH and I.... and the closer and closer i got to DH the more nervous i became....until my dad handed me over, and then a calm came over me.....

I was thinking 'where do i look? down? straight ahead? at the people? at matt?' so i looked down mostly, and straight ahead sometimes I saw a short video and some pics and i am staring at the ground in all of them.

i felt like i didnt recognize anyone - like, i looked for certain people like my aunts and uncles and i didnt see anyone....and it was emptier than i thought it would be.......

well......

that is b/c the shuttle came 5 minutes late and DH didnt realize it so the ceremony started and the 30+ people from the hotel missed me walk down the aisle

im still upset that neither DH nor my parents nor his parents noticed that all of these people were missing

we had like 30 people come in during the ceremony, i didnt even notice, amazingly, if i would have realized i probably would have gotten upset....

oh well....

i still loved walking down though!

I don't know, everything went so fast. I kind of didn't realize they were ready for me, and then wanted to make sure I was on the right side. I don't think I was really as nervous as I always expected. Then my mother stepped on my dress. I was so worried about her stepping on it again, which I think she may have, and then I spotted someone I didn't expect to see that caught my attention. I was distracted and I don't really even remember looking at DH and seeing his expression and that kind of bothers me...one of those moments you can't get back. I'm glad though that we had our 'reveal' before the ceremony...that kind of makes up for it. Maybe that's why I was so non-chalant and relaxed about it.

It was so funny...in one of my proofs you can tell from expression I was surprised. Since I didn't get married in church it wasn't like, well this person came to see me get married, you know. It was a pleasant surprise though. My (MOH) cousin's FIL didn't come last minute so her MIL took her other DIL who I do know, so that was a nice surprise.

Aww, I'm sorry. Yes, that must have been weird...glad you shook it off. It cracked me up too when she saw my expression because she kind of laughed...she knew I was like 'Li...!'

I think the only thing I was thinking about was not falling. My shoes were killing me and I could barely walk. I went numb about 2 minutes before we walked out and couldn't feel anything.

I wish I could do that part over. I was starting to freak out and was afraid I was gonna start crying. So I kept taking these deep breaths to stop myself from crying. I must look like an idiot... like I am giving birth or something.

I kept thinking 'omg is this for real' it felt so surreal..When the doors opened I could see dh tearing, which in turn made me cry. I was hysterical..if you look closely.. I was really crying..or if you zoom..you can really see it! I think my dad got a little emotional as well..but he doesn't cry usually. I also kept thinking (hoping) actually I hope dh thinks I look pretty and I hope he likes my dress...I hope he doesn't notice the marks from the accident, etc...but he was pleasantly surprised I think

I was like 'omg almost everyone I know is going to watch me right now.' I started to freak out and go really fast and my dad kept saying under his breath 'SLOW DOWN SLOW DOWN'!
