I mostly do commission work because it usually gives me the motivation I need.

When I'm just painting for the sake of painting, I tend to get lazy.

Hmm good to know. I know you did a mural for your mom and the one for your son's room. we cant paint our walls because we're renting but I am looking for soemthing to put on the wall of our bedroom. Its one of those wide walls. we have a tarditional painting over the bed but the left side looks really empty. I thought of like 4 small square canvases but not sure. Maybe I'll take a pic and send it to you and see what you think.

Oooo I LOVE that. I saw one similar where it was just three panels across but I like the way the two small ones are right under in the middle. When I get home I am going to send you a picture. I dont wnat the room to look cluttered but that empty wall is bugging me.

Re: wall art?

Also... www.etsy.com is a GREAT resource for all things handmade..

there are a LOT of new artists just wanting to get their work *out there* so you may find something cheaper than you would at a gallery etc.
