1) My Norwegian boss just referred to me in an email as his executive *ss. He meant 'asst' but sometimes things get lost in translation...

2) My friend used to think Alanis was singing:
'That cross-eyed bear that you gave to me'
in 'You Oughtta Know' (She suffers from Chronic Lyricosis):

When I was little .... like 7 or 8 .... I used to say:

'But you're not a poster to do that ...'

instead of

'But you're not supposed to do that ...'

My older cousins had a field day when they heard me and corrected me

Thats cute. I used to say SHUNSHINE rather than sunshine and got ripped a new one by my 2nd grade teacher. To this day i will say 'the sun is shining' or 'look at the way the sun shines' but never use just the word sunshine.
