Was I being a brat?

Original post by yelley77

So, I went to the mall on my lunch and i wanted a pretzel. I went to Pretzel Time and order one, paid for it (didn't even take it off the counter) and started looking for the mustard. I didn't see any, so I asked and she said, 'we don't have any'. The only reason I eat soft pretzels is to drown them in mustard. So I said, 'are you sure, I can't eat it without mustard.' with an attitude, she started opening and slamming draws and finally said, 'i don't have any' so i replied with 'i'm sorry, but I don't want it'. She raised her voice and yelled, 'WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK FOR MUSTARD BEFORE YOU BOUGHT THE PRETZEL!?!?!' and i said, 'um... you're a pretzel place... i've never been to one that DIDN'T have mustard.' she opened the register, gave me my money back and waled the pretzel into the garbage (it was hard enough that it made the garbage wobble), then as I walked away she called me something in spanish.

I wasn't ever mean to her or rude until she yelled at me.

Was I wrong? should i have ****** it up and kept a $3 pretzel that i was going to throw away?

I would have eaten it anyway , but thats why im chunky , I don't give food back

That being said, I can't have coffee without milk and you better beleive that if starbucks ran out , i would return it in a heartbeat

chunky my @ss...

I can handle the truth. part of me feels like a brat... but i really wouldn't have eaten it. I would have taken it off the counter and threw it in the garbage.

Don't , there is other food i need some sort of topping on or i can't eat it . Its not like you asked her for something obscure

What do you mean you don't have relish for my pretzel?!?!?

seriously no relish OR mayo ? what about ranch dressing ?

They had cinnamon... but no mustard.

what about the melted cheese ? thats glutton-ly good on pretzels too

eh.. i'm a huge fan of cheese, but not on my pretzels.

You all are going to have nightmare's about pretzels tonight. I think the word was mentioned 100 times already, lol

Mud and TWATTY don't go together. Especially if it's Gulden's Spicy Brown.

I believe it. Don't go there ever again. She was mean and doesn't deserve your business!

no you weren't being a brat. Yes, I would have returned it too AND I would take it one step further and write a letter to mr. pretzel time and tell him how rude his worker is and exactly which store you were at, on which day and what time and possibly even go back and take a picture with your camera phone so you can include that too. Ok I'm kidding about the picture but I would write a letter/e-mail.

did you see my fruedian slip? I said mud and twatty instead of mustrad and twatty. As soon as you said you were bringing a tub, my mind went right to the gutter and thought of mud wrestling in mustard.

I'm just so sick of paying for things that aren't up to my standards.

DH and i went out to eat one night and being a former watiress, I ALWAYS leave 20% unless the service was beyond awful. Anyway, we had this girl who totally effed up our order, she never came over except to take our order, and bring the check and when the bill came i figured out 20% and DH said, 'i'm not giving her 20%, she ******, things were wrong... I'll double the tax and that is it'

ever since then, i've been paying more attention to customer service and he's right, why should you pay for something you aren't happy with. we would never leave less than double the tax, but he made me realize that 20% should be earned.
