It was FABULOUS. I did nothing important but indulged heartily in self-gratutious behavior
We hit the flea market and made a new sign for our door ('Welcome Friends' sign. I bought it at the fleamarket then repainted it to look like our cats. Gotta post it later.)
I went to the Tastefully Simple party, Pete and I played RockBand with my SIL and ate like crap all weekend and caught up on some movie watching and hiking and noooookie
I miss anything interesting?

I am glad you had a great weekend!
I had an awesome weekend as well. My mom and I watched all the Pope events and did some cooking together.
On Saturday I ate ( by myself, lol) at my ILs - which I have never done before . . . it was nice.
Anyway, you missed drama - it is still on BHB.

I am not even getting into it. It is an emotional roller coaster.
Last night I made country fried steak with homemade biscuits. It was amazingly good.
However, when I went to put it on DH's plate the 'breading' separated from the steak and he got disgusted by it and couldn't eat it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, luckily i know him well so I had already BBQed a plain steak for him, and he ate that!
oh well, my mom and i loved it!
tonight i am making orange chicken!

LOL I think i found it..I skimmed page 1 and then just answered the original post but didnt read the rest. Not touching that with a 20 foot pole.
MMM that sounds GOOD! Hmm what did you bread it with? I rcently started using Panko? that japanee bread crumb stuff. Its awesome. Gives a much nicer crunch on meats when you wnat to fry something and keeps it mosit. I did it on porckchops last week and it was awesome.

Pretty good. DH had to do overtime for the Papal Visit, so I stayed home and did laundry, hung out with the dog. Then DH's kids came over on Sat. afternoon and we had a BBQ. Then Sunday we went to the ILs house for dinner and a birthday cake for my SIL. All in all a nice family weekend.

Aww thats nice. Thats what we did Sunday-hung out with my SIL and just had fun munching and hanging out. Our place ironically has become 'the' hangout spot which makes me happy because it means people are comfortable in our apartment.

This was actually just buttermilk and flour . . . super yummy!
