i'm curious.... do you ladies ever 'put your foot down' with DH? like do you ever say NO to some things?!

you mean like in bed? never

other than in bed, it depends, if its unreasonable then I say no- but most times, I say yes.

HAHA! not in bed.. i mean like with a desicion that you disagree on... do you ever put your foot down and say 'no'

i'm trying to think of something - i dont think so though - usually we compromise on things - i cant think of anything that i told him no you're not allowed or no you aren't doing that or buying that or anything like that - at least nothing i can think of....ill keep thinking though

Oh hell yes...I am more bossy than DH. Honestly we agree on most things, and I'm not a tyrant he can do as he pleases. BUT if something bothers me I dont pacify myself.

Totally...and honestly there are times DH has to do the same with me....ya know?

I'd say 95% of the time we agree on things. We joke around and have the same personality basically (makes things A LOT easier)
However, occasionally he gets on my nerves and does/says something and I will most CERTAINLY put my foot down and say no.

I would hate having to bite my tongue to my husband

oh totally!!! same here!

when we were on our HM we won A LOT of $$ in the casino and later that night we went out to dinner with 2 other couples we met at the resort and the bill came to something like $300... so DH offered to pay the WHOLE BILL!!!! i mean, yeah thats really nice, but thats OUR money and WE JUST MET THESE PEOPLE 4 DAYS AGO!!!! i pulled him ouside and was like UMMM HELLOOO ARE YOU CRAZY?!!! you want to pay for us and our best friends, great - not ppl we JUST MET

no one would let him pay the whole bill anyways, so it was fine.... but i was like and

I have a girlfriend who's favorite word is yes. Her husband could tell her to stand on her head all day and she would say yes. Sometimes i get a little jealous because they never argue!! But, that being said, i could never say yes to everything. Im very stubborn and often put my foot down.

I could never! But everyone is different ya know? I doubt my DH wanted a girl like that bc if he did he would have married one and your friends DH probaly wanted a girl who wouldnt argue or disagree with him.

At the end of the day whatever works as couple works ya know? There is no right and wrong, just different ways of doing things I think.

Do you mean like when DH insisted on ordering shors for everyone saturday night at the most EXPENSIVE place instead of waiting 10 minutes to go next door to a more reasonable bar and owed over 100 bucks in shots? Like that Michelle

nah, I never really needed to. We agree on most things and stuff that we DON'T agree on, we discuss and compromise on. Even though I definitely give him the role as the 'man of the house', I do feel like I would say no and stand by that if it was something important enough to me. Like if he said that he wanted to stay in Colorado to raise our future children or get a pet cat (I hate cats. lol) then I'd definitely have to put my foot down But on the 'little' things - no. We BOTH get our way, neither of us has ever needed to 'put our foot down'.
