Wedding Album- With Poll- Edited to include pictures

Hi ladies I need your help in selecting my wedding album cover. For the bride and groom album I'm getting a 8x12 book and I can choose from an all leather cover any color I want or an all leather cover in any color which has a square cutout in the center where a picture I select will be inserted. The cover I want doesn't come with our package. its a silk cover with our photographs printed on the silk. There are two problems with this, 1 silk gets dirty very easily and 2 the silk cover only comes with the larger album which is 9.5x13 and the larger album costs more money. I've never seen the silk cover in person but online it looks really nice. What size album is everyone else getting? Is 8x12 too small or is that the average size, its a coffee table book, I think thats what its called. Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure of the size we are getting...it is pretty big, but not bigger than the average size wedding album. We are doing the leather cover. We both loved the samples we saw and your right it will stay much nicer than the silk.

Hmm we did our own but it was like 9x11. I would stay away from silk because you will never get to enjoy your album. Sure its pretty and all, but you will forever be on edge when someone wants to look at it because of fingerprints etc. Most people use leather because its pretty but also functional. I'd go with leather of some kind whether cut out or no cut out.

I like the leather with the cut-out. You'd still get to have a pic on the cover without worrying about ruining the cover with lots of people touching it, dust from leaving it out, etc. Also I love the way the names looked carved into the leather.

Thanks evreyone. I think I'll get the leather album with the cut out. Do you think 8x12 is a good size for an album or should I upgrade to the larger album?

8x12 is fine but I think I went with the 9x 13 because I wanted it to be bigger then other photo albums I already have since it's my wedding album but that's just my thinking
