I was just examining my wedding band and I realized that one of the stones is not as good as the rest! It is an eternity band with diamonds all around, and one of them is poorer quality than the others! I can't believe I'm just noticing this now.
I'm kind of upset about it and I want to get it fixed, but I'm not sure if I'm overreacting. Any thoughts?

Re: Wedding band issue
I say take it back!!! Or you can take it to another Jeweler and see if they think the same as you.
It is only going to bother you and I am sure you paid a lot of money for it.

Re: Wedding band issue
I just noticed the same thing on my ring about 2 weeks ago. I thought about taking it back to the jeweler for replacement but, the truth is, I don't think I'll get around to it. I don't have the time to go back and they're not open on the weekend.
If you can, you should take it back for a replacement stone.

My wedding band is pave set -- diamond encrusted. We've noticed a few of the stones are not as brilliant as others. When we have the money, we plan to swap them.

Re: Wedding band issue
I would definitely contact your jeweler - I had the same issue and not only did out jeweler replace the diamond - he sent us a gift cert to a very nice restaurant for our troubles!

It turns out that I chipped the diamond! oops. I just got it back this week.
Thanks for the advice ladies!

Re: Wedding band issue
, this post made me study my band, just to make sure. At least you took it to find out what was wrong. It would've eaten away at you if you hadn't.

Re: Wedding band issue
hmmm...I found a small flaw on one of my stones. I'm just going to have them reset the stone so that the prong covers the flaw.
