Wedding gift

Would you give a couple what they gave you for your wedding even though you thought it was on the cheap side? I'm sure after planning their wedding now they would hopefully realize it a year later.

Re: Wedding gift

Yes I would! That is why I kept track of what everyone gave me.

I agree - I think I was one of those people The first 'friend' wedding I ever went to, we gifted on the conservative side (probably only about $50 less than what I would give now), but she gave us the same thing back.

And that's exactly what I expected, so it was definitely fine.

Re: Wedding gift

i think it depends on the situation ... if they were going through a rough time (financially) during your wedding, then i would give more than they gave ... but if they had the means to give more but just didn't, i'd probably give the same amount

Just a guest. Definitely not a BM. They weren't having financial difficulty as far as I know and a bunch of others at their table gave the same amount. Don't want to come across sounding rude but it definitely didn't cover their plates.

Same here...

A friend who got married a year prior advised me to do this.... it makes things much easier (for me, anyway).
