wedding gift - little rant! I know almost a year later

One of my bridesmaids and family members never gave us a wedding gift. I understand this happens to everyone. And she “never has any money” but she has every designer EVERYTHING!!! I mean if Christian Louboutin had toilet paper she would own it.

But this is what annoys me. About a week after we got back from our HM she sent me a facebook message that said “marie, I just wanted to make sure that you received my card at the wedding – my check didn’t cash and I know that my parents did, please let me know”. . . . .

So I wrote her back saying that we did not receive a card from her and that we looked through everything etc. and actually there was a blank card in the bridal suite that was not addressed and that maybe that was hers.

And I never heard from her again – we have talked at family parties and stuff, I would never bring it up to her. It is just annoying because every other day on FB he status is “I just bought this_______________ designer bag”, I just had 3 starbucks and it not even 9:30 am”

What a frigging show off....Ughhhh I hate that.
About the present I'm speechless, specially if she has money like that.

I always find that the people with designer everything are precisely the people who *don't* have it like that!

That's ridiculous. It makes me think she asked just for show- like maybe you'd say 'Oh, don't worry about it!'

it's really annoying that she never responded to you after that ....ESPECIALLY if she claims she did give a gift!

Girl, I hear ya! I have had three guests pull that same stunt! 'I forgot it the day of, what's your address' .... I gave them the address ... two months later, I'm still waiting! I know the mail can be slow sometimes but not THAT SLOW!

I know I think I would feel better if she never messaged me about the gift.

2 weeks ago (which is more than a year after our wedding) one of DH's friends called him and claimed he was going to a funeral and wearing the same suit he wore to our wedding when he reached into the pocket and pulled out a card. The card and check he never gave us at our wedding. Well he asks DH to call him back and give him our address, which DH did. 2 weeks have gone by and still no card. I don't even care about it at this point, but why even bring it up and ask for our address? That's annoying!
