Weekend Away...not too far away

Can anyone suggest a place to go/stay for a weekend get-away? We'll drive, so not too far away.

We went to Niagara Falls (Canada) last weekend.

It was an 8 hour drive, but it was worth it.
We took Monday off, left very early on Saturday morning, and enjoyed the view of a frozen background to the Falls. We also enjoyed the Ice Wine Festival and winery tours.

Our view (in the room) was Niagara Falls. The trip was really inexpensive ($125/night), including breakfast, shuttle, and drinks. I think the hotel is called Embassy Suites.

The bed was amazing - it was 2 king size beds fully attached (even the blanket!)

The Poconos are pretty close. DH and I went a few weekends ago for two nights, stayed at Caesar's Pocono Palace. It's a bit dated and on the cheesy side but if you're into the heart shaped hot tub and mirrors above the bed...it's actually pretty romantic, not to mention relaxing.
It only takes about 2 to 2 1/2 hours from LI.
