i did it for years, and will most likely be going back. it's the only thing that has ever worked for me. going to meetings was the best thing for me - something about having someone weigh you in, and congratulate you on losing 0.4 lbs really helps keep you motivated. it also kept me more honest too.

Re: weight watchers
I go to a meeting in Brooklyn Heights, when I actually go. It works when you stick to it.

Re: weight watchers
I go to meetings (NYC), but use e-tools, too. I find having to get on the scale each week on a certain day and time helps me stay accountable.

Re: weight watchers
I do it. I go to meetings in W. Babylon. I like it...when I stick to it. I don't find the website to be that user friendly but then again I really haven't put that much effort into it either. I agree with magbride, the weigh in makes you accountable. I also find the meetings to give me some good ideas and it also re-focuses me for the next week.

Yup. I think as long as you're 5lbs above your healthy-weight (they give you a range based on your height and age), you can join.

Re: weight watchers
I just rejoined yesterday! I do the monthly pass and weigh in each week but dont stay for the meetings. I do love the e-tools, but I also need to pressure of getting on the scale each week.

Re: weight watchers
I used to go to meetings back in CO. It worked well but I slack so. I was thinking of going to meetings in Huntington but hubby isn't keen on that idea (he wants to lose weight too) and idk if I'll have enough willpower to do it on my own.

Re: weight watchers
it's something i've thought about in the past a LOT...but i know myself and once i learn how to cheat - that'll be all i do...
i have NO self control and NO self esteem...and i know if i don't see results right away - i'll throw in the towel...
