Weird TY question

What do you do if a couple split up after the wedding. Do you address the thank you to them both? Try to find the other persons address and send them a seperate one?
This happened to one of Our GM's and also a friend...

I guess I'd send it to the person I was closer to. If I was equally close to both, I'd send a card to each person.

I agree wtih suven. If the couple was a friend of ours and their date, I'd assume the gift was from the friend and not worry about sending a ty to the date.

Re: Weird TY question

We had this happen during the wedding planning My brother's best friend and his wife (my Dad and myself are close with them too) decided to get divorced. It wasn't known until after invites for the wedding and shower went out. She did not attend my shower (too upsetting for her which I 100% understood) but she dropped off a gift a few days later. At first they were going to attend the wedding together but their relationship is not very cordial at the moment so he did alone. Because I'm close to both I'll be sending both a thank you.

In your case if you were only closer to one and not the other (and they were only dating) I'd send one to the one I was closest to.

I agree with both of you!

Sounds like great advice
