welcome to my summer

This is why i DETEST the sumer.

I get home at 5, cook dinner, clean up and wait around for DH until . .. . .when? idk bc he is STILL at work!!!!

so now everything is cold and i am starving so bad that i dont even feel like eating anymore

but YESTERDAY when i waited until 7 to start cooking? he gets home at 7:10

and soon it will get worse
he will get home after 11pm

every

single

day

i mean the literally, 7 days a week - no vacation NOTHING

Sorry that he works so much. It stinks!! My husband works nights! I hate being home by myself

Me too!! But I def would of ate by myself I'm a brat also!!

yeah since i thought he was still going to be getting home closer to 7PM thats why i waited, i dont know how to make the transition to not waiting

i guess i could cook, eat and then leave stuff out for him. . .

he owns a bait and tackle so summers are rough but then he has off for months in the winter

i feel bad eating..but hello.......im starving...then i just dont eat

i could have totally NOT eaten just now i did bc i knew i had to

maybe this will be a new diet! LOL yea right i would prob wake up in the middle of the night and eat my pillow

steve is going to ecuador for 3 weeks this summer, so we can chill on LIW and chat on those lonely nights!!

Tough situation. Your such a good wife to wait to eat with him.

I used to when Scott came home 11:00-11:30ish. Now he gets home b/w 12:15-12:50 and I eat way before that but I still wait up for him.

Initially is going to sux, but it is surprising how you get used to it. Something that also helps: early evening naps.

i'm in a similar boat, only it's not just summer with DH.
his job ***** time wise.
i finally convinced our boss(we work for the same company) to give him 1 day 'off' a week so that i can see him.

i always screw up the timing with dinner too, and i won't eat the meal if he's not home, i'll pick, but not sit down to eat.

i was told that i'll 'get over' that part once the newlywed stage is over

on another note, when i was little my dream was to own a bait and tackel shop. i think DH would die if he knew your DH owned one. He'd be super jealous regardless of the hours

You'll get your schedules in sync.

Wehn we first got married, DH got home at about 7:30. I'd be starving by that time, especially since I get home at 6:00. He told me not to wait for him, to just start without him, but I would just eat my salad while waiting for him.

DH now gets home around 6:30 - 6:45, and dinner is just about ready for 7:00. I still plate up my salad and pick at it while cooking. Last night I ate pickles while cooking.

everyone tells me the same thing! that i will get over it soon, but i am trying to be strong! LOL

and the hours stink in the winter but he has off basically from November to March so we cant complain. . .well i guess i AM complaining so i cant complain MUCH
