We were supposed to go to the Poconos with a few other couples, but then that fell through. Then we were going to have a party at our apartment, but since no one would commit, we decided not to do that. So now I think DH and I are just going to do a dinner in the city and either find a low-key bar (are there any in NYC on New Years??) or just chill in our apartment together. I really hate doing New Years in Manhattan, it is just about the only time I hate being in the city, but we really don't have any other options.
What is everyone else up to?

I am having a few people over my house. We are doing apps and desserts and just going to hang out. Nothing too crazy.

DH was being a grump every time I suggested this thing or that thing, so I took the hint and asked if he just wanted to go have a fancy dinner, and we'll get dressed up, then go home, get drunk and watch the ball drop.
And that is what we are doing!
Hey, not every year can be like last year. We spent NYE in Vegas!

I have to f*cking work... straight through midnight.. like every other year!!!!!!!!!
Yes i have a 9-5 job and yes on new years they make me work past midnight because its month end 3rd year in a row i cant do anything

We're going upstate New Years Day to spend the weekend with friends who live up there- as for NY Eve....we have no clue. I'm sure we'll be low key though.

I would love to just do nothing...but I'm not sure if that's going to happen. DH's friend will be in town between Christmas and New Years and he's now in cahoots with one of my friends who was also in the wedding party to organize something for the city...me and DH would rather kill ourselves than go in to the city on NYE, so we'll see what happens.

May go into NYC..but un decided yet! Plus Jenn has to work New Years and I don't know what time the office is closing...Dh and I are undecided..we don't want to pay $$ for a hotel..it's going to be expensive..we jump in with my Sister in law..I think there may be room! I'll have to see!
Otherwise I have a few ideas of my own brewing!

no official plans yet but my sis is trying to get me to have a party at my house. Honestly after the crappy year DH and I have had, I would be happy sitting in my jammies on the couch next to DH splitting a bottle of champagne

ohh seriously he would love it!! every guy ive brought there (that sounds slutty) DH's brothers, my friends boyfriends lol they all love it!!
they have special events that have beer pairings and stuff! maybe you can get him to go to one of those! lol
