We were supposed to go to the Poconos with a few other couples, but then that fell through. Then we were going to have a party at our apartment, but since no one would commit, we decided not to do that. So now I think DH and I are just going to do a dinner in the city and either find a low-key bar (are there any in NYC on New Years??) or just chill in our apartment together. I really hate doing New Years in Manhattan, it is just about the only time I hate being in the city, but we really don't have any other options.
What is everyone else up to?

OMG - me too - I HATE HATE HATE new years. DH is probably working early in the morning New Years Day (we won't know until NYE - I hate the LIRR). However, that means holiday pay so I'm okay with it. I'm happy to spend NYE on my couch in my new den in my pj's.
He'll probably be working Christmas too.

SAME HERE! I go there all the time with one of my BMs who lives in Hoboken - it's right near the PATH station and her apt, so super convenient. We just went last week and I dripped cheese AND chocolate on myself in my haste to get the food in my mouth.
(I dripped the chocolate in my cleavage, looked at my friend and said 'SEE? This is why he should come here with me!!!!')

We wanted to do something on LI, but DH has to work at 7 a.m. New Years Day morning, so it looks like we're going to try & do something local upstate here - or just stay in & get drunk & stuff our faces on lots of apps!

Usually have a HUGE NYE party. Its so great & honestly id rather be at home or at my family for a party then out & about on that night.

Planning either to have a less hectic night and make reservations to Ayza for dinner and countdown at Times Sq. or head over to AC to the clubs in Borgata..not sure if DH has the night off.
