I dont plan for the whole week either cause DH is picky and it depends on what he wants cause I can always eat anything. I do know IM surprising DH with a pernil this week. Just not sure when since it takes about 5 hours to bake.

Re: what are you making for dinner this week?
This weekend I made a HUGE stir fry with broccoli, rice, onion, carrots, chicken, soy sauce and hot pepper. So DH has been eating that for a few days.
Monday: Chicken with a McCormick crusting blend, baked and I am trying to new baked broccoli recipe with breadcrumbs and cheese.
Tuesday: Italian Sausage on the BBQ, pasta with butter sauce and brussel sprouts.
Wednesday: Birds Eye Stir Fry with chicken served over egg noodles.
Thursday: We eat by my mom's
Friday: I AM DYING FOR TACO BELL! So hopefully we will get some, LOL. We are spending the day together.
Saturday: Usually leftovers

same exact reason, his mood can change and he'll want something else so i prefer to just ask that day what he wants.

Exactly. My sisters fiance eats ANYTHING and I envy her for that reason! Ive had to learn to sacrifice since I mostly cook Latin cuisine and he really likes plain food nothing too saucy. And I loooooove salsa on everything lol. And I rarely eat beans now since he doesnt like them and when I make them a lot of it ends up in the garbage. Why do they have to be so picky?!!
BTW I love when he asks me what I wanna eat and everything I suggest is 'Umm, nahhhh, I dont want that' I lose it and telll him to just tell me what he wants!

the funny thing is that DH wants to eat beans all the time lol. I had to tell him at one point to please stop bc i cant keep eating all these beans lol and recently we actually haven't had it.
He is very open to new food, he tries just about everything so hes not picky like that but somedays hes in the mood for something and another day he wont care for it. Even if its a favorite meal of his it all depends on what hes in the mood for that day. I cant really complain bc im the same way.
ALthough i made him try indian food this weekend, and was happy he was finally willing to try it and he didnt like it, oh well. I didnt make this though i bought it elsewhere
it s*cks bc you probably don't want to make 2 separate dishes for dinner everynight, this way you both have what you want. I dont do that either, i'll just say forget it ill eat what hes eating

Re: what are you making for dinner this week?
Awww man I wish I had that problem!! I loooooove me some beans lol. My sister and I used to make just beans for lunch when my mom wasnt around and put some vinegar in it. Sounds gross but we looooved it.
Ive been trying to get Chris to try Indian food for ages now. He wont have it. I loooove Indian food but the only people who will eat it with me are my mom and step-dad Chris and I definitely have different palates when it comes to food. He will NOT try something. Thats what pisses me off. When I feel like having one of my dishes, Ill make it and he just wont try it. So I end up putting some in tupperware and bringing some to his aunts who love my food lol. I just wish he would TRY! Hes like a baby I swear. At least Joe will give it a shot.
I dont like to make two seperate dishes anymore. I used to make myself beans all the time and some other things but they just end up in the garbage. SO I just sacrifice now. This is pretty much the only thing I wish I could change about him!

Re: what are you making for dinner this week?
I have a very busy week this week so I won't be around to cook much! I do normally like to plan for the week b/c if i don't i get lazy and we eat out. If i have it in the house and it's planned then I will cook 4 days a week. If i fail to go to the grocery store then I end up eating subway or pizza..lol...not so good for my diet!

don't get me wrong, i love beans too but it was just everyday for a long time hahaha. But joe loves spanish food so he liked having it.
Its funny bc I notice so many guys are picky about food, i know alot of guys like this. I think the best thing is to trick them hahaha. My dad did it to me when i was a kid and thats why i eat just about everything now. He once cut up octopus into real small pieces and put it in pasta since all i ate then was pasta and, but lied to me that it was chicken i think, and i was like 6 years old. Or once i was tricked into eating a stew with brain, heart, kidneys and all those parts. But it was in a thick red sauce and all that was cut into small piees. I have to say it was delicious lol.
Get chris the tandoori chicken, say its roasted chicken and they use some bbq rub and thats why it looks red, watch him love it hahahaha

Thats how we trick my niece! We tell her EVERYTHING is chicken. Shrimp, beef, pork is all chicken to her! God forbid you call it by its real name, she'll run away I really should start doing this to Chris. Although one time I tried to sneak in some small peppers into a dish and he made a face like, I know what you did
