What are your biggest LIW pet peeves?

I hate on LIW and LIF when someone is complaining about something that obviously upsets them and someone replies with a 'Thank God thats not me' comment..

i.e.:
'My MOH is driving me crazy, she shows no interest in anything and almost seems jealous, its so upsetting'

annoying reply: 'Thank GOD my girls love me and my MOH is the best'.


or on LIF, for example:
'I feel like Im never going to be able to buy a house. Housing prices on LI are so ridiculous and I hate that I can't buy the house that my kids deserve'

annoying reply: 'This is exactly why I moved to NC/TX/etc. it's sooo much cheaper to live here. We have 400 acres and it costs us $125k!'

It makes my skin crawl when people post replies like these. They are counterproductive and make the OP feel like crap.

People that:



....and then claim they hate 'drama' and then go and point fingers at other people!

When people post links incorrectly. I don't know why but it drives me nuts. They just copy and paste the link right into the post so it's inactive, so now I have to copy and paste it into my browser instead of just being able to click on it. And then say they don't know how or they CAN'T.....how is that????

When people 'can't' post pics.

Misspellings in post titles...within the post doesn't bug me so much, but when I have to stare at the post title all day if it's on page one and it's still spelled wrong, drives me crazy.

people who can't handle saying they made a mistake - hey when you do wrong to someone just appologize don't blow it off.

I am guilty of the first two. I edit my posts ebcause people KNOW my typing is horrific and I usually leave them but once in awhile, gets even me and I must enable the almighty EDIT!

Second one I do because sometimes I forget about the post and I feel bad if someone took the time to compliment me and I ignore it. Just rude.

I am calling you out.

With editing posts I meant people who are involved with drama and then 3 hours later go back and edit out all their comments even though they are quoted 3000 times. I never proof read so I edit my spelling or grammar sometimes too.

Oh that i don't do. LOL I fear the almighty quote button. I just try to edit my spelling if its REALLY bad. I remember one time I was talking about a vendor and meant to say I USED them and mispelled it 'SUED' them..NOT good! I speak Jenanese. Common knowledge.

B. When certain NW tend to answer posts on BHB board....or make fun of posts coming from other boards ( we were all there at one time in our lives )

C. When brides laugh AT other brides

D. Brides who have like 30 thousand posts....I dont know its just something about the same brides always having to comment on everything and anything.

My pet peeve involves people who are passive agressive and act like you can't decipher who they are talking about.


I also hate post bumpers---you posted.....just cause its on the 2nd page--doesn't meant you have to continually bump it.

Girls who recommend their vendors over and over again, BEFORE they're wedding. You have no effing clue how 'great' they are until you have your big day.

People who try too hard to be 'original' for their weddings cause they wanna be 'different' and therefore go nuts with $$ cause of it. So they try and squeeze EVERY FCKING IDEA they see on LIW and add 'original twists' to it.

'Omg I need the personalized aisle runner with our names in blood, with the doves/butterflies released with special rice thrown and bubbles blown and petal cones designed by blind Belgium nuns with special flowers flown in from an undiscovered island off the coast of Madagascar with my super duper fantabulous stretch 120 passenger Cadill-excursion-benz...and then guests will walk into my super sized CH with drinks that have 24 kt gold flakes sprinkled in them and be able to eat their choice of endangered panda bears for our carving meat!'
