what did you do

to stop from crying walking up the aisle, i am so emotional and am afraid i will be a mess

I was so happy to be getting married I was beaming as I walked up the aisle.

Just look right at your FH - and tell him to hold it together when he sees how beautiful you will be - and you'll be great!!!!!!!

Pinch yourself! Seriously you will be OK. Once you walk down the aisle and see all those people that you love you will be OK. It is perfetly fine to tear up. It is a big day!!

That plus take some Valium perhaps to relax!!

I did not cry at all...it wasn't a forced thing...I just was super happy...I do remember focusing on my BM's mom (who I have known for 15 years or so)...and her smile just made me smile...

I also remember seeing everyone walk downt he aisle...and all I could think of is that I wanted to watch the video to see everyone...

I was so happy, I couldn't stop smiling. I also had to concentrate because the priest had a very thick accent so it was very hard to understand everything he was saying.

I was also very afraid I was going to be hysterical walking down the aisle, not only because I was thrilled to be marrying my FH but because my father was walking me down the aisle and at one time I wasn't sure if he would be there. I was told to focus on my FH's face as I walked down the aisle, and that is exactly what I did. I was shocked to see I didn't cry once, I was just so happy. So my advice is to look straight ahead and smile, and you will be fine.

I was too excited to cry! I was so happy to be getting married and I couldn't wait for the ceremony to start. I was beaming from ear to ear.

I feared for so long that I was going to break down walking down the isle. It had nothing to do with the decision of spending my life with my husband but I just get emotional at all weddings. Last weekend I was at a good friend of mines wedding and I started to tear up when she walked down. I thought for sure I would be crying. It started before I started walking down and I fought it and believe it or not I didnt cry. I was shocked. Just try hard not to. Try to think of something that will hold you back from the tears.

I cry when I'm even just a tiny bit happy or sad. I cried walking down the aisle - My dad set me off. He started crying before they even opened the doors. The videographer was at the front of the aisle so got a close-up of me almost sobbing by the time I reached DH! I just took deep breaths and tried to keep my composure. It was such an emotional day that there really wasn't much I could do about it.
