Probably nothing much. I sprayed my bouquet with hairspray the day after and hung it upside down. No mold grew on it and it's now displayed in my curio cabinet.

Wow, this gives me hope. I asked my florist about preservation and he said that they actually don't use the same bouquet. He said that you mail them the bouquet and that they study it and recreate it and that is what is actually preserved.

I had mine preserved too even though I almost fainted when I heard how much it cost. But I loved my bouquet and couldn't bear to just throw it out or try to dry it myself.
Luvsun - yours came out so nice! I'm a little disappointed that my white roses turned yellowish. I thought the freeze-drying process was supposed to keep the flowers as life-like as possible. Your red roses still look red! Who did you get yours preserved with?

I used Keepsake Floral. I was very pleased.

Re: What did you do with your bouquet?

My dad took very good care of mine. He went to Michaels and bought a special spray and preserved it for me.
I now have it displayed in my curio cabinet as well.

Re: What did you do with your bouquet?

I think white roses just yellow very easily--it is easier to keep red roses red, than white roses white. I just dried mine. I didn't know there was a spray untill recently, or I would have used that. My mom is looking for a shadow box to put it in.

Re: What did you do with your bouquet?

Now I want to have mine recreated so I can preserve it. Is that crazy? I don't know why I'm so hung up on this.

Re: What did you do with your bouquet?

awww! i'm so sorry to hear that! and bless your husband for trying so hard to take the mold off. but it's okay, sweetie! some of hte suggestions on this thread sounds great and you should look into it. it may not be from your wedding day but it can be a wonderful recreation. how about during your first anniversary or half year you have your florist recreate your bo-k.
