I am thinking of giving me dress to a charity. I have sentimental attachement to it, but on the other hand, know that it will sit in a box and I will never look at it again if i keep it.

Re: What did you do with your dress?
Mine is STILL sitting in the closet. I'll probably keep it...in fact...I know I will.

I plan on keeping it. Right now it's hanging from the top of my closet since I still haven't had it cleaned yet!

Re: What did you do with your dress?
currently - it's in a garment bag rolled up and stuffed in my fireplace! It was the only safe place I could find when I had my day-after bbq......I should really move it!
Ultimately, I think I'll either donate it somewhere, or sell it on e-bay.

Mine's in the box in the garage currently until our house is painted and I can store it properly.

Re: What did you do with your dress?
Mine is hanging in my closet. I'm waiting to wear it to the Emmy's in a few years. After that (if it still fits) I'm going to get it hemmed to cocktail length. I love my dress!

Re: What did you do with your dress?
Right now it is in our guest bedroom laying on the bed (right where i left it the night of the wedding) Taking it this week to the cleaners...Too much sentimental value to get rid of it!!!

Re: What did you do with your dress?
I think my mom still has it at the cleaners... I'm not too sentimental about it - like, i love it in the pics but i doubt i could zip it up anyway. but i can't give it away at all...

Re: What did you do with your dress?
I will eventually get it cleaned and when I have kids I plan on making it into a christening outfit for my child. No sense in holding onto it, I know it will never be worn again and at least this will mean something to me.

Re: What did you do with your dress?
Its crumpled up in the closet waiting to be set free.
It is so sad, it is in its garment bag hanging in the basement.

Re: What did you do with your dress?
Mine is hanging in 'my' room in my new house. But up until June 1st, it was hanging on the closet in my bedroom in my old apartment.
I said I was going to sell it, but DH doesn't want me to.

Re: What did you do with your dress?
I was going to donate mine, but DH told me to keep it. So it's sitting, uncleaned, in the coat closet.

Re: What did you do with your dress?
I couldn't belive how filthy the train was, so first off it's getting cleaned. Then I'm going to search through the posts here because someone posted about a website that sells used wedding gowns. I figure between that and ebay, I'll be selling it for sure.
Some people were talking about making it into something else but we're not having kids and all my nieces and nephews are older than christening age. What else are you really going to do with white satin anyway?
Besides, I'd love knowing that another bride was able to feel like a princess in it just like I did. Considering I had no alterations to the bodice and it's already bustled, I think it could be a good match for someone.
