What did you do with your gown?

Did you just dry clean it or have it preserved? Are you saving yours? It breaks my heart to just see it hanging here!!

I preserved mine. I also preserved my veil and gloves. I am storing it in my parents basement.

It went back into the garment bag and is now hanging in the attic.

My dirty dress is hanging in the closet...I so have to send it to Wedclean!

damn...i feel better now. it's in the garment bag but needs to get preserved along with the veil

My Mom took care of getting mine cleaned while I was on my HM (She rocks) It's in this big box now and looks like something from Boxing Helena. I've got to put it away because it kind of gives us the willies.

Mine is in the process of being preserved. I don't know if I'll ever have a use for it, but I wanted to make sure it doesn't get stained if someone else wants to wear it.

I had it preserved through the bridal shop. They gave me a 10% discount on it. I preserved my veil too.

good thread...mine has been hanging from my bed staring at me every night like 'um, hello, can you do something with me already??'

i'm going to look into the wedclean thing...typically how much does that return shipping cost??

I'll be getting mine preserved soon. Right now, it's still hanging in my closet, a year later!

I had mine cleaned & preserved and then had to take it out of the box for the shoot I did for my photographer for News12!! So now it's hanging in the garment bag.

I got it perserved. Not it is in a box behind my TV...

mine is with the designer - she is repairing the damage the cleaners did to it



the leather damage is extensive and it isnt looking good - it may have to be disassembled and remade

I preserved mine. It's in a huge box under my Mom's bed. It was the only bed hig enough to fit it.

Took it to the cleaners and had it preserved. It's in a box in my basement along with my mom's.

I haven't decided what to do with my gown yet....I was thinking of having it cleaned and then donating it.....I honestly will never have a need to wear it again....and even if I have a daughter or daughter in law one day....I'm sure that the styles will be different and they will want a dress of their own.

but on the flip side I love my gown and went through hell to get it....so I would hate to give it away.

something I need to think about.....it was a much easier decision to donate 10 inches of my hair....that grows back.
