We had a civil ceremony, so we don't have a ketubah or anything to display. But we have 3 original marriage licenses (we ordered more in case places needed to keep it for the name change). They are just in a file folder in our filing cabinet, but that seems so 'officy'. It's not a pretty license though, so I couldn't imagine framing it. What did you girls do? I know they have those metal holders that you can use, but does anyone really use those?

I didn't do anything with mine either. Since we got it has just been in a folder but I never thought of ordering more. I should look into that.

Right now I have it in one of those manilla envelopes since I need it to change my name on some things. I'm thinking about framing it or else maybe I'll put it in a scrap book.

As for right now, my marriage certificate is in the original envelope it came in and it lies in my brief case. During lunch, I have done all my name changing details (DMV, SS).
Once I don't need it any more, I will put it in our safe. The letter it came with, says this is the only original one we get.
I wonder if more can be ordered......

Mine is in a folder right now because I have been using it to change my name. But I plan on putting it in our safe.
