what did you think your wedding would be like?

when we were little girls you know we always dreamed of being brides how did your actually wedding differ from your lil girl fantasys?



to answer my own question:

i would have to say it was actually pretty similar i always wanted a winter wedding and knew my girls would wear purole. but in my gothic days i had planned on wearing a black velvet wedding dress for a while lol. i had a white velvet coat instead lol. i wanted the cure playing at my wedding back then lol and instead i played one of there songs lol. i wanted to get married at the ritz or roseland ball room lol or even a club in the city called the bank lol instead i had it at chateau briand lol.

I always thought it would be a B-B-Q pool party casual thing, with flowing Stevie Nicks type dresses and barefoot or ballet shoes. LOL!!! I was such a John Denver nature girl back then. I also never thought I could afford to have a traditional Long Island type wedding. I love how things turned out in the end!

I never dreamt of being a bride..I never wanted to get married. everyone always got divorced ( not my parents though )..but lots of freinds parents'..it just wanst something I wanted...so my wedding was GREAT...I had a hard time getting used to being engaged..it scared me, planning a wedidng scared me..but my wedidng day was a wonderful day..it wsa better than I could have imagined!!! Dancing our first dance and the whole day was truly magical for me! I loved it!

Katheleen Marie..I WORSHIPPED John Denver..I grew up in Oklahoma and his Uncle was the Principal of the junior hugh there..as far back as being 5 I wanted John Denver records...I still love him..corny I know..but he was awesome!!

I never really thought about it, and if questioned, I always said an outdoor type thing. Very casual, my sisters in floral springy dresses.
I loved it! It was truly the best day of my life. To have all my friends and family there for such an important event was amazing. I wouldn't change a thing!

i always wanted to be a princess-type of bride...and i was.
my wedding day was pretty much exactly as i thought it would be when i was a little girl...although when i was little (and in catholic school) i figured i'd get married in a church!

I wanted to get married in a traditional Roman Catholic Church and I wanted a rainbow wedding like my mom and dad had (with the bridesmaids in all different pastels)

I got married in St. Kilian's RC Church which is a very traditional looking RC Church with a real organ! and I couldn't do a rainbow wedding since my husband was wearing his uniform and we were already having 1/2 the guys in tuxes the rest in uniforms and to have the girls in different colors may have looked odd and well the dress we all picked for the bridesmaids did come in many pretty pastels they all wanted the butter color! so, that plan went out the window.

And when I was younger I used to sit in the car with my mom when she drove up to get my Dad at the Bethpage RR and we would pass the Imperial Manor each time and it was one of the only halls I knew and I loved it and told my mom my reception was going to be there and well it was... lol

i never really dreamed of my wedding... but as i got older i always wanted an outdoor wedding since im very earthy and outdoorsy. Be it a beach or a garden wedding.. i ended up with an outdoor garden type wedding.

I never imagined it would be at a place as amazing as Flowerfield was. However...the dress, roses, and of corse husband....these were all as wonderful as I dreamed it would be.
