What do we think?!?!!!

okay SO - i've never been brunette in my LIFE. i'm REALLY thinkin' about doing it just for a change..just for fun... yes i have the utmost fear of NEVER being able to look like a natural blonde again, but people do it all the time right?? anyways, what do we think?!?!
check it ooouuutt...am i nuts??? BE HONEST!!!

I went brunette a few years ago and while it was cute for a month or 2... it really washed out my face and made me look 'red' (if that makes sense... )

My hair also has a lot of *warmth* in it so my brown came out more auburn...

yea - if i did it i think it would only be for a little while(thats if i dont love it lol).. my skin gets really golden in the summer...hence why i want to do it now lol. i dont want the color when i'm all pasty white! i dunnnoooooo.. its such a DRASTIC change...especially since i've never been brunette in my life! we shall see...i'm gonna talk to my stylist about it next week & see what she says...

If you're a natural blonde, the brown will most likely lighten in a few months...

The photo I posted above was right after I had gotten it done, and within a few months I was closer to a dirty blonde... light brown

it didnt look natural at all

my natural hair color is more reddish blonde

Try lowlights instead of doing an allover brunette.
If you like the darker, then you can always do the full cover.

I am a brunette, and do a permanent color to cover my gray. My hair pulls red, so it always has a reddish cast to it, when I really want it to be true brunette.

i actually had really dark lowlights last year & i loved it! got a ton of compliments too. and although my hair was BLONDE when i was little, it's gotten darker over the years. My natural color is a dark ashy blonde - i keep highlights in it to keep it lighter. i'm not sure if that would add to it washing out or not...but we'll see. gotta see what the stylist has to say i guess!

I have to say i actually like your hair darker like that. Your skins a little rosy but nothing abd. You actualyl look like Rose McGowan in that pic.


Taryn, maybe you can do a medium brown and then see how that goes. I think you could go back to blonde. I mean I had wine colored hair and they took out the red for my wedding and you KNOW how hard it is to kill red and it was RED. I wouldn't worry too much-might take a little longer to get to natural if you hate it but you could manage.

to the britney comment - u have NO idea how much i get that... her among others..and i never see it with any of them but hey - she was hot back then so i guess its a compliment!

about the hair: we're totally on the same page! i feel u can always change it/grow it/chop it. etc.
i will say the only thing i'm worried about is DAMAGE. because i dont have gorgous thick latina hair like u lol. my hair is thin, and processed. but God willing, my stylist will take care of me lol. i know a TON of girls who put their hair through way much more crap then i do!

but i know what ur sayin' about the blonde...even reese witherspoon said in an interview after walk the line.. 'the way i feel...if i can pull off blonde i'm staying blonde. and my mothers always told me that too'. lol.

TRY IT! You KNOW you're hot as a blonde but if you can be hot as a brunette, it will give your DH a thrill like he is with another woman for a few months Brunettes look betetr in red too I think and nothing says sexy like a red dress and heels.

dh wants me to stay blonde

BUT - he's never seen me any other way!

i AM gonna wait for my hair to grow a tad bit more...i'm gonna go for a trim this week & hope that it revs it up 'cause my hair growth has totally plateaued...and a good trim usually does the trick. i'm hoping to do it for summer so maybe next month! just want my hair to grow damnit! lord KNOWS i dont have the money or the patience for extensions again...so if it grows a LIIITTLE more i can make some clip in pieces...
