what do you eat on Christmas eve/Christmas day?

Christmas eve is not what it used to be now that my grandparents are gone but we used to eat only fish. then we would go to the midnight mass and when we came back there was a roast pig waiting for us. yummmy!!

Christmas day we normally have stuffed veal roast or Prime rib.

christmas eve is the big deal for my family (and most hispanics) -- we go to my mom's house and eat up some yummy seafood.

on christmas day we make the rounds to friends and family--but we also make the stop at my moms as well

Christmas Eve - Pasta with 'special sauce' DH's grandma makes it only once a yr - its yummy! and then Seafood. Mussels, Clams, Calamari, etc etc

Christmas Day: Homemade manicotti, tripe (eww), octopus (ewww), filet mignon with peas, eggplant rollatini (my favorite!), fried zucchini, fried artichokes, chicken cutlets, baked clams and stuffed mushrooms.

I wont even start on the desserts

christmas eve is big for my family; we always have fish. my parents usually either make linguini with white clam sauce or all the fish in the sauce with pasta (lobster, clams, crabs, mussels, calamari, etc.) mmmmmmmmmmm. christmas day is just usually pasta , meat, veggies, more low key. at dh's christmas is big and they make all the fish and the pasta and eggplant and a whole big thing...

Christmas eve is at my sis's house, and we have pernil, rice & black beans, tostones, empanadas, mashed potatoes, red cabbage and some type of vegetables.
Crazy mix of Cuban/German
Christmas Day is not the same since my mom died, we have all gone our separate ways ( ). This year we have been invited to close friends, so she and I will cook and bake.

I go to my ILs for Christmas Eve because they do the whole fish thing. I don't eat fish, so my MIL makes me chicken cutlets...lol.

Christmas day is usually ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, and some vegetable.

Christmas Eve we make every fish imaginable...calamari, lobsters, fish salad, shrimp cocktail, breaded shrimp, baccala etc. and yummy homemade pizza!

Christmas Day is either a lasagna or tortellini with soup and either chicken or filet mignon with lots of yummy sides

Just thinking of all this food is making me hungry!

On Christmas eve, my Dad usually cooks a bunch of little appetizers. I LOVE that. DH's family does the big Italian seafood dinner so we'll be going over there for seafood (which I don't eat) & then to my parent's house for the rest of the night.

On Christmas Day, my family usually does a big Italian meal with manicotti, chicken parm, etc.

Christmas Eve- We do the traditional Italian Christmas Eve dinner with DH's family. Dinner usually is about 6 courses starting with the appetizer which usually is mostly fish. Then, we have pasta dish with a fish sauce. Then, we have fish salad, then my personal favorite LOBSTER!!!!, after that we have more fish. Traditionally there are 7 fishes, but DH's aunt makes about 13.

Christmas Day- Usually pasta followed by ham, turkey, or roast with potatoes, broccoli, and biscuits.

I hate christmas eve dinner
(bad fish allergy, so I always end up eating mashed potatoes and some overcooked veggie )

before the polish christmas eve, mom and I would eat duck (our version of a mini-goose), followed by mulled wine and christmas cookies
