Sounds silly but I want to finally go out to eat! We've been saving and on a budget for soo long I can't remember the last time I was inside a restaurant with DH alone (prob not since our Honeymoon)

Re: What do you want for V day?
I have no idea. Dh brought up the AC idea again and to see Lisa lampanelli that weekend, well my bday is the day after v-day so AC he thought of for my bday not v-day although we'd be there for that lol.
I dont know, but im ok with whatever. The weekend before we'll go out to dinner for his bday, then the weekend after v-day i plan to throw him a birthday party since i cant do it the same weekend as his bday. So with so much going on, anything will be fine, to tell you the truth i havent even thought of v-day. I focused on his bday dinner with just the two of us and a surprise party another week
I would make reservations soon though, with v-day on a saturday this year, its going to be crazy.

Actually, I'm not a big V-day gal. I think all I really want is for DH is make an effort, but something from Coach or Swarovski couldnt hurt.

Yeah I don't want to go to dinner ON V-day just maybe rt after or around it. I hate how they have all these pre-fix (not a fan) dinners and it usually gets super crowded.

That's so nice that you two have both your b-days coming up. You do have a lot going on though with all the planning all in one month. Perfect excuse to go away! Mine and DH's are both in March but nothing else really goes on in March lol.

oh god i wish we could go away, that was my original plan for months, to take him to vegas. But now he has to go away for work the weekend i wanted to go. ANd i cant take off now either. Ugh this party planning part is getting annoying, i wish we were going away lol. Its just hard bc i also just found out that they are doing something for a friend who got engaged on feb 21st, which is when i wanted to do the party, so now i think i have to do it the 28th instead. The 7th we have another birthday party, so i have no other choice. Why cant things be easy lol. Part of me wants to say F*CK it and figure out a way to go to vegas

dh and i enjoy food, so we will probaly go to his friends restaurant (he is the head manager, not owner). He always gives us a great deal and the food is so good! That along with some wine & chocolate is all i need!

Re: What do you want for V day?
We don't really do a big thing for V day and definitely won't this year since we're seriously saving. Last year we went to Trader Joe's and got some frozen foods and had a little romantic dinner in. Maybe that could be our V day tradition.

Re: What do you want for V day?
We have a gift card to Waterzooi so we will go there either the night before vday or on vday (have to see if they are doing anything special, I just want the regular menu) ... I wanted to go away for the night somewhere, but with me being out of work I don't think we should. SO I think we might cook dinner on vday. We are doing a lot of that lately, cooking together, and I love it I'd love a gift card to a massage and I told him I wanted a cute hat I saw in a store on Friday ... wouldn't mind some flowers either He never gets me roses which i prefer because the roses are SO expensive on vday -- i used to work for a flower co., they are insane. But mixed flowers with some lilies, my fave, is great.

He got me an early gift, a new Blackberry Curve! I told him that was what I wanted, but couldn't wait until V-day so I got it last week!

I emailed DH an email from the Melting Pot and told him I wanted to be surprised lol and he made reservations there for V-day. That and a dozen roses would make me very happy

We have never really made a big deal for V-Day, or exchanged gifts b/c the following week is DH's birthday and the week after that is our dating anniversary (not that we'll really celebrate that anymore). We were thinking about going to the dinner and dancing night at Villa Lombardi's but then DH got tickets to see Will Ferrell's Broadway show about George Bush for the 15th... so we'll just go to a nice dinner after the show and call it a day!

I totally forgot about this. I saw that he was doing this show months ago and i was meaning to get tickets for it. Probaly too late now, but we don't really have the money for it right now anyway. I definitely want a review of the show though!!

Its a one-man show - just for a limited time - I think 6 weeks. Its supposed to be great. If you loved his Bush impersonations on Saturday Night Live, you'll love it - if not, you probably wouldn't like it.
I don't really want any 'thing' for valentines day - just a nice night together.

Going into the city for dinner and a show! We are so excited. We have never really celebrated V-day due to me working or DH working!

I do love his impersonations. I had no idea about this, i am gonna look it up. Not sure if there would even be any tix available but sounds like alot of fun. I am sure you will have a great time.
