what do your parents do?

A little spin off... we all know what WE do for a living, but what does everyone's parent's do (or did) for a living?

Mother- English Professor
Father - Local 3 Electrician and world's best father EVAR.

My dad is a reitiered Naval capt
My mom is part of the trama team in an ER

both parents are retired but my mom was a hairdresser for her entire life from 14

and my father is in 'security' - he actually went back to work now and works for probation..

gotta love those local 3 guys Caroline!! my hubby is local 3 w/ Forest Electric.

mom: NOTHING, she's the laziest person ever, I'm not being mean just honest (I cook, clean and do everything for her, my house is a mother/daughter)

dad: he's deceased, but before he retired he was a motorman for the MTA (worked there over 40 years!!)

Mom: Elementary school aide
Dad: Electrical Engineer

LOVE Local 3 men!!! I'm surrounded by them!!

Mom was a mother and a housewife until she died 4 years ago.
Dad is a retired construction worker.

my mother was a seamstress until my grandmother got sick and she had to stop to take care of her - now all the factories she worked at have closed so she stays home and is BORED out of her mind BUT she cleans the house top to bottom. . .think spring cleaning every single day. . under the fridge, behind the couch - EVERY SINGLE DAY its sick!!

My dad worked at the bank for 30 years before he was forced into early retirement - so now he works for Alitalia and loves it bc he gets to talk italian all day

i agree! i love it!

My father: Local 25 Electrician

My Mother: my mom was a head daycare teacher for years...now she still works for the same facility(it's actually part of our church) but now works for the main offices. Think head secretary but with a million and one other responsibilies. Pretty much an assistant to the director of the childcare facility and assistant to the director of the couseling center program. My mom is amazing and works so hard!

Mother: pharmacy tech

Father: pimp daddy of the universe. (seriously he was a wh0re in his day) but i digress...he owns his own business that i work with him...doing immigration & tax consulting

My mom works in Merchandising (she sets up the jewelry and greeting card displays you see at stores- orders more stuff when needed, etc.)

My father owns an Electrical Contracting business (Local 25 )

LOL thanks, that is too funny! they are like that old italian couple you see in the supermarket. . . its funny.

My Mom works in Customer Service, she enters all the orders that come through on the fax.

My Dad hasn't worked in years, he used to drive an 18-wheeler and then went out on disability. I guess technically he's retired now.

My Mom is an administrator for a school system
My Dad is a corporate accountant

MOM - Controller of a multi companies.
DAD - Lead Sales in Industrial Hydraulics

My father is retired NYSDOT (he was in space planning), now he runs a mortgage company out of the house

My mom was a french teacher, then a SAHM for 23 years, then she went back to school for her PhD, taught college, elementary, college again, retired and now is a consultant for the state in education practices.

Both of my parents need to learn how to REALLY retire.

Mom: housewife and mother (still have a teenage sis at home

Dad: Disabled. He had a stroke a few years back and relies on a brace and has no use of his left hand.
