I want to buy a house and wait to have a baby but i just feel if I do that I will never feel like I can afford one. Its very confusing and I am 31 and I feel I need to start making some decisions soon because I am not getting any younger.

Think about people who live in the city most people don't own they rent, and they have babies all the time. I think people who grew up in the suburbs are obsessed with the idea of a perfect home & family.

That is true too and a good point. A lot of city people are def renters....

I live in an apartment complex that is truly family friendly and the area is really nice. We will most likely move into a two bedroom apartment renting or possibly buy a condo. I feel more ready to have a baby thank buy a place. So I feel really comfortable moving into a two bedroom. Unfortunately I hear there is a waiting list for two bedrooms.

Well, if it were me I would say baby first....clocks are a ticking and if I were to wait to get a house I would be too old to have a baby after haha...JMO

DH and I own a co-op now and it's a one bedroom, I don't see us moving for atleast 3 years.. but I would like to get pregnant in about 2 years so I'm hoping that this will work out

I want to finish school and have kids after 1 or 2 years into my career (max 4 yrs), so hopefully a house first. BUT if it were to happen before my 'planned year' I am okay with being in my apt., plus we have an empty bedroom and that would be the babies in the mean while.

It is a very personal decision...if you know 'In two years I will have a house' and want to wait, do it! Also a baby can fit in an apt...
We own a 2 bdrm coop. DH and I bought a 2 BDRM with baby in mind...this way we dont have to run out when the baby is born and will have time to find a house
