What is our name?

I'm confused.

Prior to the wedding, we were 'Susan and John'

After getting married, are we 'Susan and John Jones'

or

'John and Susan Jones'???

I thought after the marriage, we are 'John and Susan Jones'

If it involves my side (family or friends) we're
Donna & DH

but if it's his side we're DH & Donna

Woman's name is supposed to go first always ... but I never ever follow that rule ..

we are Gregg & Lisa _ _ _ _ _ . I like it better and I don;t care about what any ettiquite books says

Before we are married we came first
now dh's name comes first

We are Tracey and Brian ------
I go first!

We are always David and Vicki. Just sounds better.

Although everything we sign we sign Vicki & David.

We are Stacy and Joe. On everything. I have no idea why - to me, it just flows better.

That's us also. But if we are being formal it should be:

Husband & Wife Lastname

I think that is a matter of patriarichal opinion...

Like, the Mr. coming before the Mrs... (no pun intended..although)



Old world tradition would say
'Robert and Annette Kimball' for us...with the Man first.

I prefer Rob & Stef...but on the answering machine, my DH says Stef & Rob....yup, he knows.....

I don't even really think about this. Uh, I guess 'Arie and Nadine' more than 'Nadine and Arie', but I think that's because it's alphabetical. We don't have the same last name, so when we don't use any most of the time. Though now that I think about it, I like 'Nadine and Arie.' I guess if I'm doing the signing, it would be me first, and if he was, it would be him. I think.

I guess I don't care.

99% of the time it is 'Felicia & Anthony'

though I've tried saying/writing them both ways, and neither 'flows' really well .. but whatever

I think some people say 'Bob and Tracy' and some people say 'Tracy and Bob.' Since both names are short either way sounds fine to me.

When I sign cards, etc. from both of us I usually put 'Bob and Tracy.'

I was just thinking about this early this am while in bed...don't ask why...

but I believe the womans' name comes first because what if the man is a Jr?

WE do this too, but its probably just because I sign all the cards!
