For me it was hiring a DOC and bringing flip flops for the reception.

I am so glad we had our ceremony on Our Lady of Solace, It is such a gorgeous old church. We kind of did things backwards and had this amazing venue for our actual ceremony and then a semi/informal dinner reception in a restaurant down the street from our apartment!
I am also happy that we went to the Coney Island boardwalk and promenade for pictures. I think they will be beautiful...

I am so glad we never left each others side- we experienced the day together as husband and wife from whne we were pronounced until we went to sleep... you wouldnt believe how many noticed we were inseperable, having a blast and living it together
I completely agree. We made a pact to stick together, and I'm so glad we did. We experienced OUR wedding together. It was really important to us and we had so much fun together.

I am glad that we stuck to our plan and refused to waste more than an hr of our wedding walking around to tables..we danced, we drank ,we had a great time and that was what we wanted.
I'm also glad I didn't listen to anyone who told me my rainbow cookie cake was ridiculous, it may have been ridiculous but it was such a 'me' part of the wedding and it was yummy!
Lastly, this is HM related not wedding, but I am so glad that we ignored everyone who told us Egypt was too dangerous, too unconventional, too hot, too active, not relaxing enough etc etc etc a trip for a honeymoon. The trip was amazing, we didn't regret our choice for a second (even the day it was 120 degrees) and we saw some of the most incrediby things I think we will ever see.

Adding an hour to the reception...that extra time was priceless!!!
Booking the band I did.... they were GREAT! people still talk about how fun they were!

Mine would be hiring Royalty for my wedding day. I can't even tell you how helpful they were during my ceremony. I had a rehersal but we were all so lost on the day of and if it wasn't for our drivers, we would have been a big mess walking down the aisle. They lined the BP up and told them when to go.... gave me a pep talk, fixed my veil and dress for me and sent me on my way down the aisle!

we went with our gut instincts with what vendors we chose.... often not the least expensive ones, but ones who we just felt we could trust...
they all pulled through for us BIG TIME. the hall, photographer, bakery, florist, limo, DJ... all showed up EARLY, and went above and beyond...
It made life manageable, and let us just enjoy the day without worrying....

Just making the wedding US, doing things our way with tons of detail, I think every person who attended our wedding made comments about so many things. We keep getting more and more calls and visits every day just saying that we did not miss a beat or thing at our wedding and it was by far the best wedding they have ever attended, kind of being at a broadway play, which makes us feel great!! Plus we picked all of our own music and the guest danced all night long....
'Now thats what I am talking about...everything was so us and how we wanted and was a total reflection of us' Down to my husband making sure his nose was clean at the alter....in a sly way of course

So glad we danced the night away and did not do the table rounds, we enjoyed every minute of our amazing wedding day with each other............all of our dreams came true that day, my husband said to everyone he wants to have the wedding all over again, tghen he turned to me and said how about we do the same thing on our ten year anniversary, I was so thrilled.

Totally agree....my aunts complained about me not getting married in a church, that we were getting married so far away, etc....they even complained that the place had too many stairs !! But then after the wedding they couldn't say enough good things !
I'm glad we stuck to what we wanted, I'm glad we got married on the beach, I'm glad DH convinced me the band was worth the money (cause they SO were), I'm glad we had the bonfire after the wedding and the welcome dinner the night before so we had lots of time to spend with everyone !
I was concerned about the weather so if it weren't for DH I would've compromised on a lot of things - I attribute our amazing day to his wanting to take the chance on mother nature
