What is the strangest thing about being married???

Now that you are together as husband and wife- what still seems strange.

For me it is the term wife, I am fine being called Mrs. MXXX I have been called that for years now, but it is the word wife that is still strange to me-

That and the new found laziness in the kitchen that my 'husband' has seemed to develop that wasn't present prior to marriage.

I turned into my mom, I do everything she did for my dad which is slowly spoiling my husband just like my mom did for my dad when they got married.
Luckily I know one of her big mistakes which was never taking time for herself and it took about a year and 1/2 but I'm starting to give myself more money for mani/pedi and new clothes instead of it going into the fund that buys my husband any toy/tool/trip he wants.

Another strange thing is Dh and I are living on his very small income but we make all ends meet and living on alot of love! lol

I like being called wife... I love signing cards to him.... love, your wife Laurie.... lol

The strangest thing for me about being married is the fact that we are trying to become parents. Its strange but nice at the same time. I have to sit back and soak it all in sometimes...that our lives will completely change when we have a baby, our relationship will be different and we wont be able to come and go on vacations as we do now...it seems strange........yet exciting!

i can't get used to calling him my husband. and not used to new last name yet.

i agree with the name thing - its hard to leanr a new name!!! LOL!! I am used to the old one! - and i also agree wit the adult thing - how weird that dh and i are married!!!

definitely the name thing...I've yet to be called Mrs ____.....

but I get referred to and introduced as 'the wife' often which is funny. That and sharing my bed....still not used to it!!

I am one of those wholikes to call a bunch of people at like 11pm & say what do you want to do & jump on a train & hit some bars in Manhattan...........ah, those were the days

I feel like an old married lady turned into his mother of picking things up for him and sometimes cleaning after him. Also I feel like an official adult.

The first few days back at work was strange. I sign my name to lots of contracts and it was so strange signing my new name.

It took a lot of people awhile to get used to my new name too. But I love it and wouldn't change it for the world.

I also turned into a cleaning fanatic. I clean like everyday and I was never like that before. I guess because this is our house and I want to make a good impression when people come over. It drives DH crazy and I can understand, I just have to clean!

I also stopped spending a lot of money on clothes and stuff for myself. Instead, I find myself going to Target and Macy's and buying stuff for the house. AhH!
