What should I do?

I am worried, DH just purchased me a pair of earrings last week, and I lost 1 of them. They were worth $300.00 dollars. Do, I confess and be earing less or do I go behind his back and purchase another pair, and keep it a secret I don't think he would appreciate my carelessness.

Thanks

Re: What should I do?

I would retrack my steps and then be honest. I am sure he'll understand. Good Luck.

Re: What should I do?

My mom always told me to say a prayer to St.Anthony--- it was a limerick of sorts, but it was 'St. Anthony, St. Anthony, please come around, for something is lost and cannot be found'

Sure as heck, EVERYTIME I use that little prayer, whatever it is pops up...

My advice.. would be to tell him. I misplaced my Engagement ring, which was VERY expensive, made myself sick!! I finally told my DH and he was like, Its a ring. I was like.. are you KIDDING ME?!?!?!!? Women stress over the little things in life. Worst off, hes a little angry or upset... He'll get over it, maybe he'll even help you look!!! Good Luck!

Re: What should I do?

give it a few more days and look around.

If you do decide to replace it (I think you said it was only 1 earring that got lost) see if you can buy only 1 or have 1 made to match the one you still have...that might save you a couple bucks...

Re: What should I do?

It depends on the store and the credit card you used but I have a friend whose husband bought her gold earrings from Tiffanys with their Amex card. On her first wear, she lost one. So they called Tiffanys and complained that the latch must have been broken..and they also got Amex involved.

Tiffanys gave them a whole new pair of earrings!
