Re: What was the average?

The average was $202 per person... but that is because my mom, my In-laws, my grandparents, and 3 uncles gave me very generous gifts. Without including them the average was only $91 per person (and their average was $2400 a person )

Re: What was the average?

We had a small wedding, we made about 6K the night of which is not bad considering we had mostly couples and not many single people...but inlaws gave us 4k as a gift and we chose to use it towards the wedding. So call it 10.

P>S We are still broke now

Re: What was the average?

It depends on how many OOT guests you have. We had a lot, who tended to buy things off the registry than gift a monetary gift.

Re: What was the average?

About 100pp.

There were a few people who did gifts. And one person who gave $25 so not including them we got the $100. Only one person who gave an empty card which was disappointing because my mom and I gave her $100 for her back yard BBQ wedding this summer. Oh well.

Re: What was the average?

In our case we have people who were SUPER generous , and that balanced out the people that gave us a bit less. SO this made it seem like our per/person gift was on the high side

When we averaged it out per person it came out to @$225 per person. But that is ONLY because both sets of parents, grandparents and my brother gave us ridiculously generous gifts (we are lucky and grateful)

On a whole though, outside of immediate family we typically got $200-250 per couple or $100-150 per single person

And yes, somehow we are still pretty darned broke
