I think the first was Sans Souci and the last was Douglaston Manor...

First was The Cottage @ Milleridge Inn

Last was Chateau Briand and we couldn't have been happier with our choice.

We didn't really look at too many because we knew what we were looking for so it narrowed it down.

The first was a country club in upstate NY called The Garrison. Looks beautiful on the website and isn't too bad in person, but there was a bunch of stuff about it that we did not like. And we just didn't feel that it was the place.

We probably only checked 1 or 2 more places after that.

Last was The Bourne Mansion and that was it!!!

We looked at the Old Field Club first, but because we were looking to do a reception AFTER a Destination wedding, we see how that worked out! I looked at Landing 2nd, but looked around, because I am a researcher by nature. I always look around!

I think the first place I looked at was the Hyatt in Hauppague. Last was the Masury Estate Ballroom.

First - Crestwood CC
Last - Woodbury CC

ETS: Wedding was at neither. We looked at Westbury Manor in the middle of all these.

First and only was Larkfield Manor. And I didn't even want to go check it out that night. DH and his BM dragged me there. Fell in love instantly.

I called a lot of halls first, so I didn't go see that many in person....maybe 10 total?

We looked at 2 catering halls but I knew before we even went to them whcih one I wanted to get married in.

We looked at Jericho Terrace 1st and 2nd we looked at Fox Hollow b/c my parents asked me to b/c they have a credit but just as I thought I loved Jericho Terrace and that's where we ended up booking and having the reception. I can't rave enough about Jericho Terrace and how they were so on top of everything at our wedding. Their service was outstanding. I'm so happy we chose that place.

1st was The Garden CIty Hotel and the last was Villa Lombardi.

The first was Timber Point. I really liked it and almost booked.
The last place I went to was a historical barn in Smithtown- I forget the name. I liked that place too but the bathrooms were being redone and the woman wasn't sure they would be finished by the wedding.
I looked at my reception place in the middle and we loved it right away but I was hesitant because you have to bring everything in including tables, chairs, caterers, alcohol etc so I wasn't sure I was up for the challenge.
It was worth it!
