Ok so this might sound like a silly dilemma but here goes......
As some of you might know my uncle recently offered us his timeshare in Aruba since we are planning a trip there for our 1 year anniversary. His timeshare is for 9/27-10/4. Our anniversary is 10/26 so we were looking to go away 10/24-10/31. There is a possibility that we might be able to switch the dates if something becomes available but there is no guarantee. We can either use his timeshare and go on the dates he has if nothing becomes available or we can pay for a hotel and go at the end of the month for our actual anniversary since we were planning on paying for the trip before he offered anyway.
What would you do??

Go to the timeshare when it's offered! To me, it's still close enough to the anniversary to be special. Go out to dinner on your anniversary, and do the trip a month earlier. It's free, right???

Take the free hotel and use the extra money to do something special at home during your anniversary. Stay in a hotel over night and go to a spa!

I would go early when the timeshare is available. There is a possibility that you could get the week you really wanted but to be able to save that money would be great. Then you can go to a nice dinner on your actual anniversary. I would take him up on the offer for before your anniversary.

this is a great idea- I agree!
That is a really good idea. Maybe I will take the day off since my anniversary is on a Monday and go to AC overnight or something with the extra money.

I know I heard his timeshare is really nice and in a great location near all the other hotels. Did you have a hard time getting the dates you wanted for your honeymoon? I am on the site every day hoping that something becomes available for the week I want. I am hoping as it gets closer something will come up. I mean we could go somewhere else but we have our hearts set on Aruba. Plus I dont think I can stand another really long flight again anytime soon
