Maybe he would just rather be safe then sorry, and that's why he got you the test. I do think it was out of place for your MIL to call you at work with that.

Are you upset that he picked up the test for you?

Plain and simple. Tell her to stop asking you. Its rude and none of her business right now.

I bet MIL told DH to buy the test.

If my mother in law did that to me, I would seriously have a hard time holding back some very unkind words.

1) If I look pregnant and I don't tell you that I am pregnant, then maybe you shouldn't ask.

2) If I was pregnant and we were trying to have a baby, we would've informed you of that. It's not like we can keep that sort of thing a secret.

This just angers me lol b/c MIL text me yesterday and the day before saying 'so when am I gonna be a grandmother' and she keeps passing comments about how 'when your older you wont have any patience' I keep telling her ' I don't have any patience now, so what's the difference?'.

I would be offended as well.

maybe he just wanted to be sure that you weren't pregnant before he rips his mom a new one which i absolutely think he should........

i thought that you guys didn't want kids at all? is that something your inlaws know? if so, i would be even MORE offended

Thank you!!! I agree! It is very rude and presumptious to ask when you have been told no!
She knows we do not have plans to be parents.

Yup, we do not plan on having kids. MIL knows this!!! She calls our dog her grandpuppy!

I would like him to let her know that it was rude and that I don't want to hear that!

Wow.. that is kind of intrusive if you ask me. Like its the time of year where EVERYONE is sick. ppl are coughing and sneezing all over the place.. This weather does not help either.

I think you went about it very well.. Here is a and a for not being pregnant! lol

Better to get on the pill, so that no one will have anything to say. Have your DH tell him mom that you guys are taking precautions so that she wont ever ask again. I know how pissed you must have been with her phone call but hopefully this was the first and last time it happens.

OMG! Im so sorry! Are they more hoping you are pg? I'd just tell them you are on your period right now and usually that means that you are not pg or something.
have you spoken to your husband about this since?

I totally think it was rude of er to call you at work and go into all that detail. However, maybe she was just concerned based on her own experience. She totally should have spoken to you in person or at least when you were home. Also, she should've just dropped it once you said you didn't think you were preggards. As for your DH I think he might've just been trying to err on the side of caution.

Maybe you should have DH tell her that she shouldn't call you about such personal matters at work, that it makes you uncomfortable.
