What would you ladies do?

OK, so here's my dilemma.

I was supposed to go to Danbury tomorrow for a Dentist appointment, and I had taken the day off of work (my temp job, for which I get paid hourly, no vacation) to go.

My dentist's office just called to cancel the appointment, the hygenist is sick.

Ladies, the way some of you feel about Long Island, I feel about Danbury. And my parents aren't even there anymore, I just miss my hometown.

I was REALLY looking forward to going up there tomorrow, for a number of reasons, but most of all that I miss my hometown. The trip tomorrow would've been especially convenient, as my Mom is in town, and she could drive us up, rather than me having to borrow the car from DH and rush back to the Island to pick him up from work.

Thing is, if I don't have an appointment, should I go to work tomorrow (and get paid for the day), or go to Danbury anyway for what may be the last chance I have for a long time?

Due to my work schedule and things that are going on over the next few weeks, rescheduling the trip is not an option. It's tomorrow or not at all.

Go to Danbury!! There are all these positives you listed why you should go - Mom can take you, you miss it!!, you won't be there again for a long time...

This is a temp job that you'll be leaving in a few weeks time anyway - go to CT!! and have fun!

You did take the day off already, right?

I say go, enjoy your day!!! All of the reasons you listed are reason enough.

Aww listen to the talking cow for me! And go to Danbury Mall! I miss Danbury too--I went to high school right near there.

I graduated from New Fairfield, class of 98, and I used to work at the Danbury Mall in Nancy's coffee cafe, Bath and Body Works, and Lane Bryant. I also worked at the Starbucks across from Stew's for like a year and a half.

Definitely go to Danbury. Have fun. I been there and its a great town!

No brainer Rachel - as the other ladies said, go to Danbury and enjoy your day!

I also LOVE the Danbury Mall and Stew Leonards ! My friends and I would play hookey on Friday afternoons and go up to the mall and hang out - I love that mall.

And Stew's is the best!! They have a Stew's now in Westchester (in Yonkers) but the one in Danbury is by far SO much better

I went to Kent, about 1/2 hour from Danbury, class of '96! The area has grown so much since I left! Have a great time!

I was going to say - I think you answered your own question, You totally want to go to Danbury- that is what you should be doing.
You already have the day off, go enjoy!
