I want to do something for my sister's upcoming birthday -- a day out with just me and her. Shes always on the run, so I just want her to really enjoy the day, and not think about a thing!
What are some suggestions?! Something fun, relaxing, but different!

AYCD brunch. walking around the city. maybe one of those tours in nyc (like the SATC tour or the bus tours). a broadway show. a day in the wineries. day trip to AC.

Wineries.... then you can even drive through all the little towns and do some shopping.
Lots of the wineries have live music so you could just hang out - drink the wine - listen to music and have lunch.
They also have afternoon tea at the Garden City hotel and the Plaza hotel. That could make for a fun afternoon.

I took a friend out for a spa day in the city recently, and it was awesome.
we went to the acqua beauty bar and got mani/pedi/massages. Then went to lunch and did some shopping.
nothings better than a shopping session

Wineries? Spa? Chat Noir in RVC is an awesome restaurant for brunch and tea!
