You know, not to toot my own horn but I made sauce & meatballs last night & they were THE BOMB.
Instead of using breadcrumbs, I took Italian bread & soaked it in cream & then mixed it with the meat, spices, etc. They were the BEST meatballs I ever made.

NADA.... I don't cook DH is a GREAT cook- but still is usually too tired after a long day at work that he doesn't want to cook either- we live in the city so everywhere delivers so we will usually just be lazy and order in! But he does cook on weekends and I always look forward to that!

I just roared with laughter. You reminded me of a story that I must share. I am about to steal this thread., Sorry ladies
When DH & I were dating for about 6 months, he invited me to Thanksgiving dinner with his family. I had never met his parents.
I shopped for a week for an appropriate outfit. I got a haircut. I searched the internet for a great recipe. I asked DH a few times 'what should I bring?' He kept saying nothing. I ignored him of course b/c guys just don't get it. So after weeks of deliberation, my MOH & I decided I would bring baked corn pudding.
Thanksgiving Day. I show up at his house carrying a HUGE Pyrex of corn pudding, still hot, that I drove 45 minutes with it on the floor of my car with the heat BLASTING and the windows open to keep it hot & so I wouldn't' sweat, of course. I put on my oven mitt & carry it to the door. I was shaking. DH opens the door and says 'I told you not to being anything.' I'm like 'oh, it's just a little something. Its corn pudding.' And I smile, proudly. With that, his mother comes over, takes it from me, says thank you and then says , 'ok, shall we go?'
We had reservations at a restaurant. Thanks.

We were gonna make teriyaki chicken on the BBQ but DH is working late and I don't know how to use the BBQ. I have some chicken patties in the freezer. I will just make those in the oven with French Fries maybe.
