I make basically alll my meals for the week at teh same time - I find it much faster and easier to clean up.

I usually do it on Sunday but was too tired yesterday, so tonight I made:

-ham steaks with apricot glaze, broccli, and baked potatoes
- for tomorrow: taco meat, and I chopped up a few veggies to go on top
-for wed: grilled chicken (need to make sides)
-for lunches for the week: spicy chicken pasta salad

steak, sweet potato fries and salad

How do you make sweet potato fries?? DH loves them but not sure how to make em?

Here's how I make them - preheat oven to 400 and put empty cookie sheet in the oven to heat up.

chop up sweet potatoes into wedges, put in bowl and spray with a little misto sprayer (or drizzle) olive oil, salt (I use fresh cracked sea salt), cinnamon, and chili powder (makes it a little sweet and salty and spicy), mix around to make sure everything is coated.

Once cookie sheet is hot, put potatoes on sheet and stick right back in the oven...heating the sheet up first helps them develop a nice skin on the outside and then soft in the center.

Put in oven and cook for maybe 10 -15 mins depending on how large/small you cut the pieces.

I made something with what I had in the house...

I first cut up mushrooms and green sqaush. Then I put some olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper in a pan and sauteed them together.

Then I added a cup of milk and that Wondra stuff to make it a little thicker. I then made a box of Orso pasta and mixed it in.

I served it with DH's fav salad, tomato/cucumber/mozzarella salad...very simple, slice up the veggies and if you have fresh mozz (we didn't so I used the shredded kind) and mix with Ranch dressing.

It was all very yummy!!!

I just roared with laughter. You reminded me of a story that I must share. I am about to steal this thread., Sorry ladies

When DH & I were dating for about 6 months, he invited me to Thanksgiving dinner with his family. I had never met his parents.

I shopped for a week for an appropriate outfit. I got a haircut. I searched the internet for a great recipe. I asked DH a few times 'what should I bring?' He kept saying nothing. I ignored him of course b/c guys just don't get it. So after weeks of deliberation, my MOH & I decided I would bring baked corn pudding.

Thanksgiving Day. I show up at his house carrying a HUGE Pyrex of corn pudding, still hot, that I drove 45 minutes with it on the floor of my car with the heat BLASTING and the windows open to keep it hot & so I wouldn't' sweat, of course. I put on my oven mitt & carry it to the door. I was shaking. DH opens the door and says 'I told you not to being anything.' I'm like 'oh, it's just a little something. Its corn pudding.' And I smile, proudly. With that, his mother comes over, takes it from me, says thank you and then says , 'ok, shall we go?'

We had reservations at a restaurant. Thanks.

this story is HYSTERICAL..totally something that would happen to me lol.
