Re: What's for dinner tonight?

i have a RIDICULOUS recipe for fettucini alfredo!
feel free to leave out the chicken..but it makes it even more yummy!

TO DIE FOR Fettucini Alfredo with Garlic marinated chicken.(SO EASY! & SOOO freakin' good!)
You'll Need:
------------------------
1 lb. pasta(fettucini or linguini)
1/2 Cup butter
1/2 Pint Heavy Creme
1 dash garlic salt(about the size of a quarter)
1/2 cup Pecorino Romano Cheese(i always get fresh grated from the supermarket! YUM!)
1/2 of half cup(i dont know what the measurement is! lol) Parmesean(again i get the fresh grated(but not the block...it's already grated but this is the fresh cheese in the deli dept. of the supermarket right by all the blocks of cheese)
salt/black pepper to taste.

1lb. skinless boneless chix. breast
1-2 cloves garlic - minced
-little olive oil for grilling
--------------------------------------------------------------------
**put water up for pasta

1) First, cut chix. into cubes, and chop up garlic. In frying pan, add some olive oil. Season chicken with salt & pepper, and add garlic to pan. Fry up untill chicken is cooked thoroughly - set aside.

2) In small sauce pan, melt butter into creme over very low heat. Add garlic salt, along with a little salt & pepper.

(**Add pasta to water)

3) Increase heat to medium...stir in cheeses untill melted. This will thicken sauce.

4) Add chicken to sauce.

5) Once pasta is done, add pasta to pot and stir untill thoroughly coated.

Serve immediately, serve with Italian or garlic Bread :)

YUUMMMYYY!!!!!!!!

Yup, Atlanta and by myself. I'm not in a good area to walk around either otherwise I'd venture out of the hotel like I normally do.

i dont like alfredo sauce but on foodnetwork they should have a good recipe. I did make it before for somebody but a long time ago, it was easy to make from what i remember.

What about penne ala vodka or shrimp scampi. Or just doing a regular homemade sauce with sausage, pork, or meatballs if you prefer that. DH alot of times does it with sausage, pork and veal oxtail

dh gets the hot sausage, which i like and adds that little bit of fire to the sauce, not bad though its kinda mild. Just depends if you like that or not. One time he did a mix of hot sausage and sweet italian sausage for anybody that doesnt like it hott. Just go with your preference. He also likes buying Esposito sausage lol
