Our 'first' Christening as a couple is this Saturday and is for my cousin's first daughter. My cousin was a BM in our wedding and I am unsure what to get her daughter for the Christening. Any ideas would be helpful. They are having a catered lunch/dinner at a bar/restaurant. Thanks girls!

It really depends. we usually give money for christenings. we have done savings bonds for the baby before but usually just money in a card bcause the other family members will probably give the 'personal' gifts like the little bible and first rosary etc.

I give $100 for family.
Not a fan of savings bonds, would rather have the parents invest the $$ in something lucrative for the babe.

for my kids christening I recieved mostly money and bonds ...100 is about the average spent

We start at $100. If it is a close friend or a family member we would do as much as $250-$300.
