What's your favorite Trader Joe's product?

They were supposed to open one in Bay Terrace (Bayside) which is near me I was so excited...but it never opened so I dont really go..Ive been bc my cousins live in Plainview,,,,my bro has one near him in Forest Hills....but none in my area...STINKS!

Oooo - I had no idea that they were planning one for Bay Terrace. I've been writing to corporate for years that this is the perfect area for one. Only downfall is that the rents in Bay Terrace are so high.
I go to the one in Plainview, it's a drive but gotta have the cat cookies once in a while.

If you live in the Bayside area the one in Forest Hills is prob a closer drive

Parking. That's always the problem.
But driving out to Plainview is not such a long trip, maybe 30 minutes each way. It is so worth the trip, and then I head over to Fairway for some more goodies.

Their Guacamole - it's great for entertaining too!

i'd never been to TJ before today but after seeing this post, DH and i went there to do some shopping. i live in westchester so there are several around. welllllll......it now may possibly be my favorite store ever! we have been pigging out all day on TJ foods. the salsa is amazing and so are the cat cookies (we got the ginger ones). and........the chocolate covered edamame are seriously addicting. we also had their precooked rosemary and balsamic chicken for dinner and it was so good!

Another convert.
Their frozen desserts are good too. Great to have on hand for unexpected company, as my mom would always say. Yet they never lasted long in the freezer - we wound up having them for afternoon coffee.

It is on metropolitan... we take yellowstone to get there. what is that cross street, isn't t yellowstone? or maybe its woodhaven blvd? sorry I just know when we are driving - but I'm sure it's the same one, where home depot and michaels are also.

It's Metropolitan Ave. and Woodhaven Blvd. Techinically I think it's in Glendale, even though I would consider it Forest Hills. They do have the new Panera Bread around the corner.

I second the guacamole from Trader Joe's a previous poster mentioned.

Trader Joe's is our favorite store. U get great food and it is so cheap. I just started going there like 4 years ago. I thought it was a health food store so I avoided it for years!!! :)

A few of our favorites:

Mini chicken tacos (with their salsa verde)----DH eats them for lunch EVERY WEEKEND. I cut them open and add onions and cheese and he's in heaven.

Potstickers with their gyoza dipping sauce
Spinach artichoke dip (soooo cheap and yummy)
General Tso's sauce
Frozen creme brulee
Extra virgin olive oil (cheaper than anywhere else)
Sweet potato fries
Manadarian chicken
Tortilla chips and peach salsa
Chicken taquitos

Also, all their flowers r so cheap and they have a lot of gluten free foods if any1 is allergic.

They just opened a store in Brooklyn Heights too. It's less crowded then the Union Square one. (But no wine store line the Union Square one.)

their kettle corn popcorn is the best ever. i am addicted
