What's your sheet threadcount?

What's your sheet threadcount?

I try to buy 450+
I love soft sheets but I've found that if you buy 600, then they have a tendency to kinda fall apart after several washings.

Wow, I have no idea! I just get anything that feels soft. Most of our sheets are really old. I would rather buy shoes!

I did get a really comfy set of sheets though that are like a blanket.

my mom read some artical- duno where- one of her magazines- about thread count and what brands are accurate. She read that JCPenny has the most accurate thread counts. Other brands say they are, for example, 600 count and when tested they were really like 300. I don't know how true it is. But supposedly they tested a bunch. Very interesting!

400-Wamsutta So Fine. SOOO soft and they wash really wlell. We had our last set for 5 yars till it wore into holes fromw ashing and wearign every week.

I have the hotel colelction but dont find them as soft. We asked for high thread counts and got them but some don't feel as quality. I would be interested in that article because alot of them do seem to vbe inaccurate.

I don't like that story b/c sometimes I think that after the purchase. This does not feel like the thread count and spend all that

I find I love the 600 to 1000 thread sheet count but they wear down easy and can get holes over time.

Our favorite ones are 600 Count - and are Organic. (made with Organic cotton) BB&B sells them.

We also like our 450 Count Hotel Collection sheets from Fortunoff.

owha - that article makes me

I did notice to look for the percentage of cotton sateen over tthe rest..

I guess the only way to be sure is to shop @ Frette.. which is not happening anytime soon.

Re: What's your sheet threadcount?

I have 400 thread count sheets. I worked in the bedding dept at Fortunoff. I sold some 300 thread count sheets that were softer than the 600 thread counts they carried. It's not so much about the count, but the construction and fabric. Give your sheets a touch test and forget about the thread count!!
