when decorating the tree
do any of you invite inlaws over to help, or do you decorate just with dh?

This is our first xmas ( both married and living together) so we want to have a tree trimming party and ask guests to bring a 20014 ornament instead of food. We will probably put the lights and garland on it and let our friends help with the ornaments. I think we may invite our parents too!

We do it ourselves. We get pepperoni, provolone, italian bread, coke out of the bottles, throw on some Christmas DVD's and put the whole place together.It's so much fun!

Last year we did it all ourselves, which is so much fun. This year we decorated the house already, but we are inviting my mil and bil to help with the ornaments.

Let anyone else decorate my tree? Are you kidding? Dh is lucky I let him help!
(I'm a little particular, can you tell?)
MIL has so much Christmas stuff herself, she wouldn't have time to help with ours & we all help with her mother's, that would be too much.
My mother the scrooge HATES decorating & gets a tinier & tinier tree each year so she can thrown on a handful of ornamnets & call it a night. So, if I invited her to help with my tree all she'd doing would be cleaning uf the boxes as I decorated.

This is our first Christmas married (we didn't live together before) so putting up the tree was special to us. We did it ourselves. It was fun!

We did get a big tree. We put it up against our living room wall. Some people put it in front of the sliding glass doors.
