What do you do when DH goes out with his friends? Im here sulking, today DH is going out with the boys...and i feel alone! My friends cant hang out on a whim like his can, they have babies, work, night school, ahhh...going to see my mom isnt an optioN! already saw her earlier today.... Now its too late to go get a mani/pedi

DH is out working on his cars, so I'm home just sitting on the couch watching tv with the puppy. So I totally understand your feeling

i sometimes enjoy the silence and to be able to sit on my computer with out a look of 'ur still on the computer' or to be able to watch whatever show i want to
i miss him when he goes out, but i get over that quickly

I get work done, lol. I plan lessons, grade, do grad. school homework...or sometimes, I actually get to read something just because I want to. Haha. Last Friday, I had taken a zumba class, showered, and put on pjs. Then, DH went out. I was too tired to do work, so I ordered Chinese food and sat on the couch, watching The Notebook. Sometimes, it is not such a bad thing to have time to yourself!

I clean. I know that will keep me busy for a few hours. Three bedrooms 2 full baths liv/din/EIK it takes up time. Then when im done i take a nice lone shower & relax.
If not then i do a long workout then long shower & relax.
Dont sulk its good for u & him to have a little seperate time with the boys & girls. Make a girls brunch for yourself. Its ok to be apart for a little.

I hang out with my friends. Usually we have notice of those nights, so I plan other things.

I get way to many nights like that but because DH is at work. On weekends if he goes to his parents or goes snowmobiling with the boys... I HATE IT!!! Another night alone! I usually either try to make plans with the girls or when that inevitable fails I try to do something with my parents, but they have a much better social life then I have ever had or will ever have... so often I am watching a movie by myself.

DH works a lot of nights so I know this feeling, I hang out with my parents a lot, I do craft projects, hang out with my friends (If your friends have kids maybe just go to their house and keep it low key , you hang out with the kids too but that is sometimes better then being alone). Sometimes I shop and try to make a few meals ahead for the week.
I also clean , but that isn't always a good thing bc DH thinks elves come and do it an I don't.
Kinda related story: When my sister and I were babies and my dad worked evenings my mom took us to Mccrory (I think that is how you spell it, it was like a variety store) and Woolworth a few times a week. They didn't have much money so that is what she did to keep busy with two little kids.
