When did you move in

Okay, I feel silly asking this but to those of you who didn't live together before you were married, when did you actually move your belongs in? My FI is moving in with me but does he start moving stuff in before the wedding and finish after the honeymoon? Or move everything in before just leaving the bare essentials at his home? I hope this makes sense.

I honestly didnt pack my stuff until after the wedding. I was just in no rush to leave my mom!

we actually lived together fora year and 1/2. I;m glad that we decidedto do that, so there were no surprises.

hubby had bought a house before we got engaged, and wanted me to move in when we got ehgaged, but I didnt want to till we were married,a nd I waited

Moved in May 2002

We moved in mid May 2002, our wedding was in August 2002. It took about 5 months for the closing and purchase of our cooperative apartment from December 2002 until March 2002. We cleaned and purchased our furniture and moved-in by May 2002. Until then we never lived together prior to this time.

I moved in my non essentials like a month before the wedding- gradually. Dh lived at our apartment during this month. The day before the wedding I brought almost all my clothes over and everything else ( you dont really need much on your wedding day morning except your wedding stuff. ) All of my essentials were packed for the hm.

I would begin to move stuff now. After the wedding you want to come home and be settled IMO.

because we both moved into a new place (not one of us moving into the others place) we did it about 2 weeks before the wedding- so we didn't have to deal after the honeymoon.

It was stressful but I'm glad we got it out of the way.
