Re: When was the last time there was a newlywed GTG?

August 14th should be good for me...we're planning on going away sometime in August, but not sure when just yet, so I'm game as of right now.
Where do we want to go?

So somewhere in Western Nassau would probably accommodate the most people? I'm thinking this is just for us wives, right? I know my DH will be away for a week next month, so I would love to have some plans while he's gone. How is August 14th for everyone? Any suggestions for a place?

Should I quit asking so many questions while I'm ahead and before you all want to kick my babbling teeth in?

I could use a day away from DH......and a martini!

what about dinner at someplace like Pappa Razzi's next to the Westbury Manor? It's a central location that is right next to the Meadowbrook & the Northern State.

Re: When was the last time there was a newlywed GTG?

I would definitely go, I am dying to meet some of you guys. I live in Smithtown and work in Hicksville, so driving is not a problem.
We could do a place like Friday's or Ruby Tuesday's this way if someone wants to eat they can...and you can get a table if you want.
There's also Major's in East Meadow, but they have a smallish bar.

Re: When was the last time there was a newlywed GTG?

I don't know any really funky places or anything we could go to, so I'm open to everyone's suggestions. Happy hour only? Happy hour plus food? Dinner? Lunch?

I'm open to any of the above with the exception of lunch unless it's a weekend. Anything else I can pretty much do any day of the week. Although, if it's after work, I'll have to reapply my makeup and I know my hair will be a wreck and I just know I won't look my best for my first date with you all.

Re: When was the last time there was a newlywed GTG?

the best part about Pappa Razzi is that in the lobby area, there's a picture of JOhnny Depp on the wall - every time we go in there I stare dreamily at it until DH notices
